Fee structure

Last updated: 22 September 2026

Checking your eligibility costs nothing. SamePay does not charge you at any stage.

If your claim does not succeed, you pay nothing.

If your claim succeeds

If your claim succeeds, Harcus Parker charges a fee of 24% + VAT of the money you recover, set out in full before you sign. Outcomes depend on your individual circumstances.

If you cancel within 14 days, Harcus Parker can charge for work already done at your request. If you end your claim after that, you may have to pay a share of legal fees and costs. The full terms are in the engagement letter you’ll see before you sign.

The fee of 24% + VAT is deducted from the back pay recovered.

The terms that apply to you are set out in the funding agreement you read and sign with Harcus Parker before your claim starts, and they are the only terms that bind you. You are not asked to sign anything on this website: once we have introduced you, the solicitors send you the agreement, explain it and take your signature themselves.

How SamePay is paid

SamePay is a trading style of Solvo Solutions Ltd, a claims management company authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 1013195). If we identify a potential claim we refer you to Harcus Parker Limited, who pay us a referral fee. This fee is not passed to you and does not change the fee you pay the solicitors.

Harcus Parker pays Solvo Solutions Ltd a fee for the introduction. You pay SamePay nothing, and the fee does not affect the amount you receive.

You do not need us

You do not need paid representation to bring an equal pay claim. You can raise the issue directly with your employer, contact Acas for free early conciliation, or bring a claim to an employment tribunal yourself. A claim made through a claims management company or solicitor may not necessarily be resolved more quickly, or with a better prospect of success.

Acas offers free, impartial advice and early conciliation, and you can lodge a claim with the Employment Tribunal yourself. If you belong to a trade union, it may support an equal pay claim on your behalf at no cost to you.

Time limits

Strict time limits apply to equal pay claims. To claim, you must have worked at a store in England, Scotland or Wales within the last 6 years; whether your claim is brought in the Employment Tribunal or in court depends on when you left. Back pay, where a claim succeeds, is generally limited to up to 6 years (5 in Scotland). Nothing on this site is legal advice.

If you have left your employer, an Employment Tribunal claim must normally be lodged within 6 months of your last day. After that, a claim may still be possible in the civil courts within the 6-year period (5 years in Scotland). The law firm will confirm the position in your case.

Where to find the full terms

Our Terms of Use explain the introduction service in full, including how to stop at any point before you sign the solicitors’ agreement, and our Privacy Policy explains how we use the details you give us. If you have any question about fees, email us at compliance@solvosolutions.co.uk.
